For Central Indiana rising high school Juniors and Seniors, Catapult is a yearlong immersive experience that helps students aspiring for a career in technology to develop technical and workplace skills, authentic peer relationships, a passion for community service and deep roots for a lifelong personal and professional connection to Indianapolis.
Nextech has partnered with best-in-class community organizations and industry volunteers to facilitate a series of learning experiences to ensure all Catapult participants develop a strong foundation of skills needed to succeed in college, career and life.
To develop baseline programming skills, students participate in a 3-week coding fundamentals bootcamp. The skills are complemented with lessons in design thinking.
From workplace visits to guest speakers to 1:1 coaching, students develop the relationships needed to form both a personal and professional connection to Indianapolis.
Students engage in experiential learning, discovery and informative sessions designed to foster a personal relationship with Indianapolis and spark an interest in civic engagement.
Industry-led workshops equip students with the foundation needed for postsecondary success, focusing on the crucial workplace skills employers seek but often find lacking.
Are you a Marion County high school Sophomore or Junior passionate about a career in technology in Indiana? Have you been longing to be part of a community of students who share your passion? Take your first step today to becoming part of the Catapult family.
