Catapult Students

Become a Nextech Catapult this summer and be the next generation of tech talent. Catapult is a fully-immersive computer science program for rising high school juniors and seniors in Marion county who aspire for a career in technology. Taking place across five weeks from June 14 - July 16, 2021 and taught by a licensed Indiana computer science teacher, participants will develop technical skills, create authentic peer relationships, improve workplace readiness, create plans for post-secondary success, and build deep roots for a lifelong personal and professional connection to Indianapolis.

Students, via bootcamp-style learning, develop the foundations of computer science and web development with a focus on design thinking, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

From workplace visits to guest speakers to job shadowing, students learn about central Indiana’s leading tech companies and career opportunities along with creating professional relationships with executives across various local companies.

Students engage in experiential learning, discovery and informative sessions designed to foster relationships within the Catapult cohort and the Indianapolis community.
