Pre-K Professional Development

Overview

Nextech is excited to help bring computer science to Pre-K students throughout the state of Indiana through exciting and innovative 1-day professional development workshops. This workshop is intended for teachers of Pre-K classes, alternative or transitional kindergarten classes, and other providers working with four-year-olds. This may include programs operated by a school district, preschool or childcare that are interested in learning about what computer science is and how to easily and appropriately incorporate it into their lesson plans.

As STEM education becomes an increasingly pivotal part of our children’s lives, it’s important to include computer science, which is a blend of all the STEM subjects. In this one-day workshop, teachers will learn what computer science is, why introducing computer science to Pre-K students is important, and how to incorporate computer science without adding devices to their learning environment.
