Apply to be a Nextech Catapult
Learn how you can make an impact, be an innovator & world changer through computer science.
Who: High school students in Marion County, Uplands Region/Bloomington area and Evansville and surrounding areas.
What: An immersive computer science bootcamp with various workshops about technical and workplace skills along with post-secondary planning and connecting with Indiana tech companies and professionals. Students will learn about the different roles/jobs in the field of computer science and build a personal portfolio website during the program.
When: June 12 – July 12, 2023 – Students should expect to spend from 9:00am-4:00pm each day in the program, Monday through Friday.
Where: Indianapolis – Butler University, Bloomington – Indiana University, Evansville – Innovation Pointe

The Extras:
- In order to show our commitment to these future tech leaders, 2023 Catapults will receive a generous stipend for completing the program.
- Nextech Catapult is taught by industry professionals in conjunction with a licensed Indiana computer science teacher and meets the standards for both Computer Science II and Computer Science III: Special Topics. Students can work with their high school’s guidance departments to determine the best way to award course credit for completing Catapult. Nextech is happy to help however we can.

- Application Opens – January 17, 2023
- Application Closes – March 14, 2023
Zoom Interviews for Select Candidates
- Marion County students, between February 21 – March 1, 2023
- Evansville and surrounding area students, between March 2 – March 10, 2023
- Uplands Region/Bloomington area students, between March 13 – March 17, 2023
- If needed, interviews will also be conducted for all areas between March 20 – March 24, 2023
Offers to join Nextech Catapult delivered during the week of March 27, 2023
