This workshop is intended for all K-5 educators, across all subjects, who are interested in integrating computer science and Code.org into their classroom.
Workshop Details
This workshop takes place over a four-hour virtual Zoom sessions. By registering, you are signing up to participate on:
- Saturday, May 2, 2026, 8:00AM-12:00PM ET
The workshop will include one asynchronous work session.
Objectives
Participants will gain an understanding of:
- How to integrate computer science into K–5 classrooms using Code.org across subject areas
- Foundational AI concepts—such as machine learning, data, and pattern recognition—in age-appropriate ways
- Strategies for introducing topics like fairness and bias in ways young students can understand
- Practical ways to use unplugged activities and digital tools to build students’ computational thinking skills
- How to design engaging, meaningful learning experiences that connect computer science to everyday classroom instruction
Stipend and PGP Points
Workshop attendees will receive 6 PGP points.
