These uncertain times have pushed many organizations to be creative in their programming. Nextech has accepted that challenge.

We are launching the Summer 2020 Nextech Coding Challenge, a virtual competition that includes mentorship opportunities, tech industry speakers and a community of high school students taking computer science to the next level.

Challenge Information

  • Who: Indiana High School Students
    • 8th - 12th graders during the 2019-2020 school year
    • Students will participate as individuals
      • There will be three levels in the competition (students will work with the Nextech staff to see which level best fits their skill set)
    • Registered participants need to fill out the Student Profile Form
  • What: View challenge prompt
    • An individual student will submit a project using technology - either an app, website, or a physical computing solution to solve a problem
    • Students will be given the competition problem the morning of June 15th
  • When: View the schedule
  • Where: Every event will be conducted virtually
  • Technology: View challenge project details
    •  Students can use any technology they want in order to complete their project
    • Students will be using online resources such as Slack and Zoom to communicate with the Nextech team and tech mentors
    • Students will need to have access to a computer and internet in order to participate
