About This Workshop
CS Connections is perfect for grades 3–8 teachers looking to integrate computer science into core content areas. This workshop prepares educators to use CodeAI CS Connections modules to bring engaging computer science experiences into math, science, language arts, and social studies classrooms.
The workshop provides an overview of the CS Connections curriculum, explores strategies for integrating computer science into existing instruction, and highlights how the modules support both Indiana academic standards and K–8 Computer Science standards. Participants will experience sample lessons, discuss classroom implementation ideas, and explore ways to reinforce core content while developing students’ computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
Computer Science Connections is a collection of flexible, standards-aligned modules designed for grades 3–8. Whether implemented as a single lesson, a short unit, or a week-long experience, the modules use engaging, open-ended projects to help students explore programming concepts while making meaningful connections to mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. Students build creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration skills as they create, investigate, and solve real-world problems through computer science.
