Rich is responsible for leading the Digital Office within Information & Digital Solutions at Eli Lilly and Company. He oversees the teams focused on Innovation, User Centered Design and Digital Health.

Innovation is focused on both internal incubation helping develop the art of the possible and external innovation, identifying partner, collaboration and new venture opportunities. The User Center Design group delivers accessible products that provide world class patient, customer and employee experiences. Finally, Digital Health is centered on science driven patient engagement. This includes developing digital biomarkers, algorithms and capabilities to accelerate the development of medicines, as well as developing innovative solutions to help provide timely diagnoses, smarter interventions, better adherence and improved health outcomes for patients who require our medications.

Within his 20+ years at Eli Lilly and Company, Rich has held several managerial and leadership roles in information technology, infrastructure, delivery and support functions. He began his career at Lilly in the U.K. and moved to the U.S. in 2013 to support various business units and functions. Most recently, Rich led the software development and delivery teams responsible for the development of software-as-a-medical-device products and the global customer support program strategy.

Rich earned his bachelor’s degree in computing and Information Systems in the U.K. from the University of Brighton. Rich enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his soccer team Brighton and Hove Albion, and playing golf.
