2026 Catapult Internship Details and Application Links

Learn how you can make an impact, be an innovator and world changer through technology, computer science and AI.
Who: Current high school students (including graduating seniors) in Marion County and Evansville and surrounding areas.

What: An immersive computer science internship with various workshops about technical and workplace skills, post-secondary planning, and connecting with Indiana tech companies and professionals. Students will learn about the different roles/jobs in the field of technology, computer science and AI, and will build a personal portfolio website during the program.
When: June 2 – July 2, 2026 – Indianapolis and Evansville Catapult Interns should expect to attend each day and spend from 9:00AM-4:00PM in the program, Monday through Friday.

The Extras
- In order to show our commitment to these future tech leaders, 2026 Catapult Interns will receive a $1,500 stipend upon completion of the Catapult Internship program.
- During the summer, Catapult Interns will create a website/digital portfolio, and present their finished project during a Portfolio Competition. Winners at each site will receive prizes!
- Future connections are made because Catapult Interns learn technical, post-secondary and career readiness skills from Industry Professionals, Catapult Alumni, University Professors, University Career Services, just to name a few.
- There is so much more — but Catapult Interns can expect that there will always be learning and FUN!
Here's how you apply
The 2026 application will open on January 14, 2026
- Be sure to take your time and answer the questions in a thoughtful way.
- The Catapult Internship is very competitive and we will determine who we will interview based on the responses in the applications and applicant references.
- Check your summer calendar/schedule to confirm that you can attend the Catapult program each day. This is a paid internship and Catapult interns should plan on being present each day of the 5-week program. If you have questions about your summer calendar/schedule, please email jill@nextech.org.
