What is a PLC?
The main goal of our Professional Learning Community (PLC) is to foster an ongoing community of educators around a focused topic. Through long-term collaboration where our teachers meet regularly they will share experiences, discuss content, and work towards common goals. As a member of a PLC educators will work together to strengthen their understanding and execution of the focus topic while continuing to support you in bringing computer science to your classroom.
Overview
This cohort welcomes educators of grades 4-12 from all experience and content areas to explore a variety of physical computing skills and projects. Working collaboratively, this PLC will brainstorm and share ways to integrate physical computing into their classrooms. This PLC aims to equip educators with the tools and confidence to inspire students’ creativity and empower them to use physical computing devices to rapidly prototype their ideas. In addition, the cohort will focus on practical classroom management strategies, ensuring that teachers can effectively use physical computing devices while maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment.
