Data Science in Your Classroom

Overview

This Professional Learning Community focuses on designing classroom activities that integrate data science in meaningful and engaging ways. The goal is to build a shared collection of resources that highlight creative approaches to teaching data science concepts. Educators from all grade levels, subjects, and experience levels are welcome to participate, with the expectation that each member will contribute at least one activity to the collective resource.

Eligibility and Pre-Requisites

This PLC is open to all teachers from all grade levels, subject areas, and experience levels, educators will be divided into grade band breakouts to allow for more specific conversation. As a prerequisite, teachers are asked to come prepared with one classroom activity that includes data collection they would like to refine and enhance through the work of this PLC.

Workshop Details

  • Length: Three, 1 hour school year meetings (1 – Fall 2025, 2 – Spring 2026)
  • Location: Virtual zoom
  • Cost to Participate: $0
  • Dates:
    • Meeting 1: Wednesday, November 12, 2025 8:00-9:00PM ET
