Creative AI in the Classroom

Overview

This Professional Learning Community offers educators an opportunity to explore how generative AI tools can be a spark for creativity in writing, multimedia storytelling, and other projects. Together, participants will experiment with AI tools that create text, images, audio, and video. The group will share ideas and resources, with a focus on enhancing existing classroom activities through the integration of creative AI tools. Teachers from all grade levels, subject areas, and experience backgrounds are welcome. Each participant will be expected to contribute at least one activity to the PLC resource repository.

Eligibility and Pre-Requisites

This PLC is open to all teachers from all grade levels, subject areas, and experience levels, educators will be divided into grade band breakouts to allow for more specific conversation. As a prerequisite, teachers are asked to come prepared with one classroom activity they would like to refine and enhance through the work of this PLC.

Workshop Details

  • Length: Three, 1 hour school year meetings (1 – Fall 2025, 2 – Spring 2026)
  • Location: Virtual zoom
