- Activity 1: Sports Playbooks are Just an Algorithm – Students will discover how sports playbooks are just algorithms. Starting with the hockey playbook play, “The Flying V,” from the Disney movie “The Mighty Ducks” students will discuss the connection to computer science concepts like decomposition, algorithms, and conditional statements.
- Activity 2: Outdoor Chalk Stations – This is a variety of station activities that can be used to practice computational thinking skills and enjoy a great day outside.
- Activity 3: Simon Says – In this activity the traditional game of Simon Says is remixed to introduce, review, or build on conditional statements.
