Today’s workforce requires employees who are problem solvers and critical thinkers. Computer science education creates a strong foundation for such skills and introduces the next generation to unlimited career possibilities in a tech role. Unfortunately, no enough high school graduates are pursuing tech careers. The result is an increasing gap between the number of tech-related jobs and qualified candidates.
Fueled by a desire to change the K-12 CS education landscape in Indiana, Nextech partners with schools throughout the state to equip educators with the knowledge, tools and confidence to deliver quality, relevant curriculum. We intend to ensure today’s students develop a strong foundation of problem-solving and critical-thinking skills – the very skills needed to catapult their entrance into the workforce.
