It’s Official: Nextech Is Here!

April 13th, 2015

Fueled by the widening gap between computer-related employment opportunities and the number of individuals pursuing these opportunities, Nextech was launched to connects educators, innovative nonprofits and entrepreneurs to deliver programs positively transform the lives of students and our economy by inspiring and enabling young people from all backgrounds to pursue careers in technology.

Education is the foundation for transformation and for that reason our flagship partner to help us achieve our goals is Code.org – a nationally renowned nonprofit dedicated to expanding participation in computer science by making it available in more schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color. Through our innovative partnership with Code.org, we will bring world-class computer science curriculum and teacher development to K-12 schools throughout Indiana.

In addition to bringing computer science curriculum to Indiana classrooms, we will launch additional programs that bridge the gap from classroom learning to real-world application. Future partnerships will focus on technology employers and nonprofits to enable students to experience careers in technology first hand.

Join us for this exciting ride as we transform today’s K-12 technology consumers into the next generation technology pioneers!
