Inspired by her work, Liz Tate oversees the annual grant making process for the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). As CICF’s vice president for community investment, Liz focuses on aligning the foundation’s grantmaking with the philanthropic advice the organization provides to more than 300 families, as well as its three community leadership initiatives: College Readiness and Success; Family Success; and Inspiring Places.
In 2000, Liz joined Legacy Fund, an affiliate of CICF. Her work in Hamilton County included providing technical support to non-profit organizations, helping them meet the needs of their community while also serving as a resource for donors and their advisors. She is a veteran of numerous grant review panels and countywide and statewide coalitions. Liz is also involved in the Youth Philanthropy Initiative Indiana (YPII) and A Chance to Serve (ACTS) youth leadership program; additionally, she serves on the boards of Hamilton County Purdue Extension Office and the Hamilton County Leadership Academy. She is a graduate of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy, Class of 2002.
